PC BUILDER SIMULATOR Is A Game That Lets You Build Your Own Custom PCs!
About a year ago, I put together my first gaming/editing PC. It was one of the coolest experiences of my life. For months, I researched all the parts I wanted to include and spent hours on YouTube watching tutorials. Once I gathered all the components I needed, I spent two days carefully constructing my dream PC.
The result was THE BASE. My black and white themed PC with a slight hint of baseball.

I’m incredibly proud of the build but I was instantly sad the second it came to life. Even now, after a year of editing videos and gaming on my custom beast, I feel somewhat empty…
The truth is, I want to do it again. And again…
Unfortunately, I’m not in the PC building business and can’t justify the expense as tempting as it is. Especially now with PC component prices skyrocketing thanks to the booming market for cryptocurrency. Prices for RAM and GPUs are twice what I paid for my parts.
I am thankful I built my rig when I did. I honestly don’t think I would be able to in 2018 with prices so high. So what do you do if you want to build a PC but you aren’t quite sure about prices, parts and aesthetics?
Introducing: PC BUILDER SIMULATOR!
THE 'BUILD YOUR OWN PC' GAME IS HERE!
PC Builder Simulator debuted in early 2017 with a pre-alpha demo that has been downloaded over 500,000 times! The game is set to makes it’s early access debut on Steam on March 27th, 2018.
The core concept of the game is simple and awesome. You pick the components and build bad ass custom PCs. The game boasts official tech courtesy of companies like MSI, EVGA, Cooler Master, NZXT and more!
Honestly, they could have stopped there as far as I’m concerned. It’s already a fantastic tool to pre-visualize your builds complete with RGB lighting and more. It’s an amazing way to see how your parts fit together and what your final product could look like.
Thankfully, the developers didn’t stop there. PC Builder Simulator also boasts a career type mode that allows you to run a successful PC business including everything from repairs to custom builds. Here’s a breakdown from the developer:
“Build your very own PC empire, from simple diagnosis and repairs to bespoke, boutique creations that any gamer would drool over. With an ever-expanding marketplace full of real-world and realistically priced components you can finally stop dreaming of that ultimate PC and get out there, build it and see how it benchmarks!” (PCBUILDINGSIM.COM)
Here’s an in depth look at the game courtesy of PC Gamer:
I’m looking forward to the inevitable release of liquid cooling options to plan my next dream build. It may not happen for a long time but maybe PC Build Simulator can help fill the void in my short custom PC building career.
We don’t often preview games on Nerd Infinite but I couldn’t resist. It doesn’t get much nerdier than a game about building custom PCs and that’s amazing!
